Greenclaim Larvicide is an insecticide that is used to control and eliminate mosquito larvae. It is used in areas where standing water is present and contains a combination of Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis (Bti) and methoprene, an insect growth regulator (IGR). Bti is a naturally occurring soil-dwelling bacterium that is toxic to mosquito larvae and other invertebrates. Methoprene prevents mosquito larvae from developing into adults.
